Stamford CT. (PRWEB) February 08, 2012
Infertility affects about 5.3 million Americans or 9% of the reproductive age population, according the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Many families in need of assisted reproductive medicine may need to consider egg donation and gestational surrogacy as a means to building their family. In addition national statistics reported by the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies(SART), that women over 40 have not shown major improvement in success rates for IVF, over the last few years. Egg Donation is now a common option for women who have had unsuccessful IVF cycles. Egg Donation benefits women with poor ovarian reserve, gay couples and women who are in early menopause. The success rate for egg donation has been steadily increasing over the last 10 years.
