gI 117498 WWF250X250 NYC Winter Wine Festival Returns to the Best Buy Theater Sat., Feb. 4, 2012 for 2 Sessions of Wine and Music: Wine Tasting features over 200 Wines + Live World Class Jazz
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 04, 2012

New York Wine Festivals announces the return of the New York City Winter Wine Festival to the Best Buy Theater in Times Square on Saturday, February 4, 2012. The 3rd annual wine tasting event includes 200+ wines plus an array of light hors d’oeuvres. As wine lovers sip, music by Nu Jazz artists Four80East enhances the setting with a special live jazz performance.

Tasting tables located throughout the venue will offer a wide variety of high-quality, unique wines from around the globe including a vast selection from classic regions like Bordeaux and Rioja, to newer styles from California, South Africa, and Chile.

The popular wine fest was sold out in its first two years. 1,600 wine enthusiasts attended 2011s two tasting sessions and in 2010, NBC local television dubbed the fest the must-attend event of the first weekend in February. To meet popular demand, the 2012 event continues to feature two sessions: an Afternoon Session from 3-6pm and an Evening Session from 8-11pm.

For an additional fee, attendees can learn about and taste a selection of special wines at an exclusive VIP Wine Class led by nationally recognized wine expert Leslie Sbrocco, founder of Thirsty Girl and a frequent Today Show guest.

This annual festival is a great way to taste diverse wines from around the world and learn about different wine regions and grape varietals. Between the wine and the live jazz, its truly an event to remember for both first-timers and returning guests, explains Sam Kimball of Marquee Concerts, who produces the festival in association with New York Wine Festivals.

Thirsty Girl is a premier sponsor of the event and WCBS Newsradio 88 and WCBS 101.1FM are media partners. Additional sponsors (to date) include John Wm. Macy CheeseSticks, Dr. Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars, Cabot Creamery, and Simply7 Snacks. More sponsors will be announced shortly.
